RECIPE: :Poached Pears in Wine Sauce Prep time: 15 minutes, Cook time: 45 minutes, Serving size: 4-6 1 bottle red wine1 Rani Cinnamon Stick4 Rani Clove Whole1 Rani Nutmeg Whole5 Rani Black Pepper Whole¾ cup sugar 1/2 tsp Rani Ginger Ground8 rip pears, peeled.1 tsp. lemon zest1 tsp. orange zest Pour wine into heavy saucepan. Add cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, black pepper, sugar, lemon zest, orange zest, and ginger. Peel pears. Make sure to leave stems intact. Stand pears in saucepan. Bring liquid to boil over low heat, cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Remove pears to serving dish. Keep simmering liquid until it thickens, about 15 minutes. Strain syrup and pour over pears.

4 boneless pork steaks 14 oz can crushed tomatoes 1 large onion, finely chopped 1 tbsp olive oil 1 tsp Rani Fennel Seeds 1/2 tsp Rani Caraway Seeds 1 tbsp Rani Paprika 2 tbsp sour cream 1/2 tsp Rani Black Pepper Ground 1/2 tsp Salt Heat olive oil in fry pan. Brown pork steaks on both sides and remove from pan. In empty pan add onion and sauté until golden brown. Stir in tomatoes, fennel, caraway, and paprika. Return steaks to pan and simmer on low heat for 30 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Swirl in sour cream and garnish with dry paprika. Goes well with a light pasta dish.
