This handcrafted 3 feet tall wooden camel statue is a perfect home decor showpiece that depicts romantic tale of "Dhola" and "Maru" in Rajasthan, India.
The Dhola Maru folklore is deeply rooted story in the Rajasthani desert region. This handcrafted piece tells a piece of the love story when Maru is bitten by a snake and in sorrow Dhola decides to burn himself as 'male sati'. Dhola was saved by a yogi who claimed that he could bring Maru back to life. He played his magical musical instruments and brought Maru back to life. The Villain attempted to kill Dhola once again, but however they escaped from there riding back on the wonderful flying camel and the couple lived happily ever after.
