Plot Summary: Sethuram (Jackie Shroff) along with his uncleDholamal come to Bombay to try their luck. whenin Bombay Sethuram meets Nirmala (Madhuri Dixit) who is also in love with music. She invites Sethuram to her house to sing before some guests. Everyone likes his music, but all that glitters is not gold. Sethuram soon realizes that few people are listening to his song and music. People realy want to see Sangeeta dance in herscantaly clad dress. Sethuram is unable to bear this and he wants to take her from this atmospherehe escorts her to Nirmala's house. Nirmala also who is a good dancer gets ready to teach Sangeeta how to dance. Nirmala wishes to see Sethuram and on top not only in India but also abroad. Shanta (Aruna Irani) can not bear this as he knows that in reality Sangeeta is Narmila;s daughter. Unable to keep this secretShanta tells her the truth about her daughter. On hearing this Narnila's husband gets annoyed and there is an arguement between the two. Narmila thinks that she has got nothing in this world to live for so why not end her life and donate her eyes to her blind daughter. Sethuram also wishes to donate his eyes to show his love for Sangeeta. With whose eyes does Sangeeta see? The only was to answer all these questions is to see "Sangeet".
