Noor (Mohammed Abrar) a thirteen-year-old Kashmiri kid from a poor family, meets and turns out to be profoundly charmed by Firdaus (Katrina Kaif), the little girl of a rich world class family in Kashmir that utilizes him. Firdaus' mom, Begum (Tabu), was left shattered in her childhood (Aditi Rao Hydari) and objects to Noor's emotions because of his low economic wellbeing. In spite of this, Noor and Firdaus develop closer until Begum sends Firdaus to another country for school, offending Noor as she breaks the news.
