How to Use:
Pour water into the bottom of the steamer and heat it on the stove. Line each idli plate with a thin damp cloth. Pour the idli batter into the moulds on the trays. Arrange all trays in their slots inside the steamer. Close the front sliding door securely. Start on medium flame , then reduce to low flame . Steam for 15–20 minutes , depending on your stove’s heat level. Stand to the side and open the sliding door carefully
— hot steam will escape . Remove trays, wait 2–3 minutes, then gently scoop out the idlis. Serve soft, fluffy, restaurant-style idlis fresh and hot!
Tips for Best Results:
Do not add too much water — excess water delays cooking time. Ensure the water does not touch the bottom idli tray . Batter should be thick and consistent; stir before pouring. Use a sharp spoon or butter knife to remove idlis easily.
Versatile Use:
This steamer can also be used to make:
Mini Idlis – with mini idli trays (sold separately) Khaman Dhokla – with plain rectangular trays (sold separately)
⚠️ Safety Warning:
Always stand sideways when opening the steamer door to avoid hot steam. Handle trays carefully after cooking.
