As these are handcrafted not machine produced there is a possibility of hairline cracks & gaps common in any natural solid wood furniture.
Although the wood is properly treated and dried, there is always a chance of moisture inside. This moisture tries to come out as it dries which creates cracks. These cracks/gaps don't affect the strength/functionality of the item. This is not considered as any damage or poor quality.
We will offer advice if ever there is a need for such an issue.
