Papad is a very thin and crispy snack generally made from lentils. They are their own category of foods, in English probably best described as wafers, or crackers. They are ready to eat food and can be either microwaved, roasted on stove or fried.  Very common to find them as appetizer in Indian restaurants. Many people in India end their meal with Papad.
